IL-8 levels in the culture supernatants of 16HBE cells. 16HBE cells were pre-cultured for 24 h, then treated with vehicle or indicated concentrations of chemical compounds for further 48 h. After that, the culture supernatants were harvested for determination of IL-8 levels by ELISA. The data were expressed as means ± SD, n = 6. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 versus vehicle treatments (0 μM)
